About Brandon Unruh

Brandon Unruh, a dedicated Broker Associate with NorthStar Realty, brings a deep connection to the northern Colorado community. Born in Norfolk, Nebraska, Brandon moved to Colorado in 1999, attending Northridge High School in Greeley, where he graduated in 2009. His family’s relocation to Garden City, Kansas, during economic challenges introduced him to farming, where he worked extensively in hay operations, wheat and corn harvests, and dairy cattle management while pursuing higher education.

In 2015, Brandon married his wife, Jamie, after earning his Bachelor’s in Social Studies Education and teaching certification from Sterling College in Kansas. Returning to Colorado in 2017, he taught history and government and coached football, first with Greeley-Evans School District 6 and later at Weld Central High School. In 2019, Brandon and Jamie settled in Kersey, embracing the small-town, farm-centric lifestyle they cherish.

In 2022, Brandon took on the role of Recreation Director for the Town of Kersey, later transitioning the department into Colorado’s first Community Experience Department. Brandon spearheaded initiatives like the Kersey Downtown Revitalization Project, securing $500,000 in Revitalizing Main Streets grants for the Kersey Streetscape Design to enhance pedestrian and vehicle safety. His work with state and local agencies, including the Colorado Department of Transportation and Weld County government, reflects his commitment to community development.

With his extensive experience in education, community leadership, and regional collaboration, Brandon brings a unique perspective to NorthStar Realty.
